Trauma, Relationships, & Intimacy Therapy
You can be successful and still struggle in the places no one sees.
Specialized therapy for adults navigating trauma, relationship patterns, intimacy concerns, and compulsive sexual behaviors.
Maybe you're independent, ambitious, and accustomed to handling things on your own. Others may see you as the person who has it together, while privately you're overthinking relationships, struggling to trust, repeating patterns you don't understand, or carrying experiences from your past that continue to affect you.
Or perhaps you're struggling with intimacy, pornography or sexual behaviors, secrecy, shame, or patterns that are beginning to affect your relationships and the life you've worked hard to build.
Therapy doesn't have to be about becoming a different person. It can be about understanding yourself more deeply, changing patterns that no longer serve you, and creating relationships—with yourself and others—that feel more secure and authentic.
TRAUMA & ATTACHMENT
Childhood experiences, complex trauma, attachment wounds, emotional regulation, triggers, and understanding how past experiences continue to influence the present.
RELATIONSHIPS & INTIMACY
Relationship patterns, boundaries, vulnerability, trust, communication, betrayal, codependency, and developing healthier connections.
SEX ADDICTION & COMPULSIVE SEXUAL BEHAVIORS
Pornography use, compulsive sexual behaviors, infidelity, secrecy, shame, intimacy concerns, and patterns that interfere with relationships and daily life.
Areas of Specialization
I’m Karina, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma, relationships, intimacy, and compulsive sexual behaviors. My approach to therapy is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel understood and supported, while also being challenged to look honestly at the patterns, behaviors, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck.
I’m not a therapist who will simply sit back and listen. I’ll ask questions, offer perspective, point out patterns, and help you make connections between where you’ve been, how you’ve learned to cope, and how those experiences may be showing up in your life today.
My work integrates trauma-focused, attachment-based, somatic, and experiential approaches.
